CB, Antenna, and Mic recommendations

I want to install a CB radio for use when caravanning and would like recommendations. I was a ham operator (N4XXK) years ago and know nothing about CB radios. I removed an old Cobra when we bought the bus that did not work. The antenna is still there will the coax, but I will probably want to upgrade both of those since they are probably 19 years old.

If the coax and antenna is still there, why not just pick up a good radio like Cobra and go for it. Any of the CB shops near the truckstops can put a meter on it and make sure the SWR is good. They all suck on the buses and you will be lucky to talk to anyone within a 1/4 mile.:rolleyes:
