I ran across this interesting tow idea where you can take your car and another vehicle with you. I am not sure what I think about the safety of such a tow vehicle. What do you think about this? See tandemtow.net

We used a tow dolly for a couple of years and was glad to get rid of it. However, that is a very interesting setup. We would like to take a golfcart or the Rhino along on some trips but the thought of straping the car down again has me thinking F150.

Life would be good until you had to back up! Bad enough when you have to unhook the toad because of an error in judgement, but can't imagine unhooking that mess. It's not if you will have to back up, it's when!

Ted,
Make it an F150 4x4. They are way easy to rig for four down towing.

Jimmie, it could work, depending what you are doing.
The way I see it if all you are doing is going from your main residence to a winter pad somewhere and want to get your stuff there in one easy trip, go for it. It will accomplish that and you will be happy.
If you plan on dragging all that crap around the country while you sight see, forget it, life is too short for the hassle!
Take no offense, just directly answering your question.

Hey Jimmie,
Where ya going to put the pig cooker. I mean really a guy with a name like Jimmie Johnson must like home cooked Bar-B-Que! I guess if your toad is a pick up truck there would be the possibility of hauling it in the bed.

Ted - we have a "golf cart" that rides in the front bay that we got last spring from Wheels to-Go (http://wheelsto-go.com/) and we love it! With the portable ramps, it's easy to load and unload! Just pull the joey bed about halfway out, position the ramps, and drive the cart on or off the joey bed! The steering wheel folds down flat and the wheel brakes can be locked after positioning it in the bay so it doesn't roll around under the bus while we're underway! It's been great for me with my limited mobility to get around the various campgrounds/RV parks we've visited so far! It's electric with a top speed of 10 mph and a range of about 20 miles before I have to plug it in to a standard 110 plug for recharging. And the best thing is - nothing else to tow behind the bus!
