I was contacted by Dawn Yoshimura of the Volvo Technology Center in Sweden. She would like members to take this survey. Take a look.

Those aren't survey questions. Those are essay questions.

Done, although my answers regarding what I'm willing to pay for a "green' bus are probably not going to make them happy.

I thought Marathon was the leader in that domain...take your head hunter effluent, run it through a cofee filter and add Tang to taste,,,just like the Mercury Astronauts!

My bus is green. Well actually it is teal, but in certain light it looks green.

If we really wanted to be green in the sense Volvo intends it to mean, none of us would be wasting diesel fuel or buying their buses. We would all be living like the Amish.

So this is what a European corporate survey looks like. Some of the questions were just rediculious! I suggested they call on "Mr. Green (Al Gore) and ask the Nobel Prize winner what his response is to each question.

I also heard a report a couple of days ago that Volvo was looking for someone to buy them out. Geez, what a waste of time that was.

Ford is looking for a buyer for Volvo according to the Wall Street. Maybe its just the auto division .
The idea of a Hybrid for a 48000 lb. bus is folly.

Geez I thought replacing batteries was an expensive enough proposition on the current Prevosts. What do you imagine it will cost on a hybrid?????????

Hey Skiffer. Are we going to get the findings of this survey? I wonder if they also sent the survey request to the Prouds?

Here is a link to the results. I have to say I love the honesty.
It doesn't appear the folks in Sweden have a handle on what is going on.
Hopefully they will learn something from this.
