I-40 Rock Slide Link

Anyone interested in how the "propeller heads" are doing at clearing the rock slide on I-40 in NC can get a daily work update at this link.

While you are on the site just look around at the photos to see if you can come up with a disposal/storage site for the waste rock. What, you can't! I didn't think so.

Easy there Bubba. I think you previously made it abundantly clear that if they messed with you they was a messin' with the whole trailer park. :eek: But, that's no reason do be mean and do something like challenging them to think. What do you want them to do? Hurt themselves?:D

It was reported in our paper the rock is being hauled away by 20 dump trucks which are taking it to a site in close proximity to be used for future projects.

I forget which agency was getting the rock, whether it was the DOT or the folks that administer the Smokies.

It says in the NCDOT article from Will that there 17 trucks hauling to US Forest service land.
