After 13 hours of driving from NC, we were trundling up I-81, a bit weary, and decided to spend the night at the Petrol truck station in Scranton, not expecting much. (Exit 170B). Instead, we found that they provided us with 50 AMP service, water and sewer. Had a 24/7 restaurant and shops, clean, quiet lots of bling for trucks (and buses?), had an RVIA tech on staff and heavy truck repair with parts in inventory. The manager said that we were welcome there even if we didn't buy anything and personally escorted us to our site.

Not too bad!

Of course, The Boss was concerned when the manager parked us with our front wheels over the double yellow line, but got over it.

Now if they would put on some other music than Country and Western over the PA system, it would have even been more perfect.

Highly recommended.

I guess I will look up that 170B exit on 81. Now just how did you land that spot. Were you mumbling to yourself that you were a big deal in the POG group. Just how did that spot happen to come available?

Shookie, Clarks Summit........I was from Binghamton! As a child Clark Summit meant that Na Augg ( check spelling ) Park was coming up soon. At night you could see the burning coal piles as you approached Scranton. My wife Ellen & I now live in Springfield, Ga ( off I-95 ) near Savannah, Ga. As with all POG members you are welcome to park at our place on the way to Fla. I see you joined in Jan. Welcome. Ken & Ellen

I stayed at an RV Park owned by a truck stop in AZ that had full hook ups like the one you described and the price was only $15 and when I joined this dicount club called Passport America for $40 or so then the price dropped to half of that at only $7.50 a day. That is the cheapest I've ever heard of. Next best thing to solar I guess. They have a good size network all over that honors the 50% off and they send you a book or you can search for affiliates on their web site. They aren't limited to truck stops, that just happend to be an affiliate.

Shookie,

Welcome aboard. You should plan on spending some time parked at Liberty to give the new coach a good check out. They had it scattered in a lot of pieces during the rally and even though they are good, it really takes use to determine if the repairs were done correctly.

That is a great coach and it has a lot of systems. The best time to get familiar with them and be assured they work right is when you are sitting right in the midst of the guys that fixed it.

Shookie,

Liberty has its own campground so you can live in your new coach on site while you sort things out and get the necessary training.

Fortunately if you leave Stuart and need some help Liberty has excellent support. They can talk you through almost any problem or question. In addition there are several of us here that have coaches with the same features and systems and it is likely we can provide help also.

Your new coach looks great and you are going to enjoy it. The King of Bling can help you with information to make it look even more outstanding.

Hey Shookie:

I was just out looking at your new rig. It is looking just great and I think you will be thrilled with it!

One word of free advice (worth every penny you pay for it) Plan on coming early and if you can, stay a few days longer. You'll want to have all the time possibile for learning the operations of the systems and get all your questions answered before you leave. It is time well spent and it is expected at Liberty. You'll want to have a chance to test drive, plunk around with all the switches and so on.

So there you go, it will be time well spent and will enhance your experience down the road!

Like I said, advice is what you pay for it...look forward to meeting you...and of course, there will be a POG surprise for you!

Hi Shookie. When I plopped down my $ for my Liberty, I asked Liberty if they would deliver the Coach. No way! The owner really wants the customer to spend time with their personel going over all the systems. I have to say, it was well worth it. I spent 3 hours one day, and another 3 plus hours the next day going over the Coach.

Aside from the obvious purpose of this orientation, it was of great help when I could not get things to work on my way back from Florida. It was very easy to call Troy at Liberty and he would simply direct me to the area and tell me what to do. Knowing where switches, buttons, valves resets, breakers, equipment, and motors are located is good.

Shookie: We got a new coach from Liberty and per the advice of our friends here, we spent a couple of days at Liberty for training and finding out stuff that didn't work (it was usually us). They either educated us or fixed the problem on the spot. We were then invited to go to Pelican Lake for the weekend during an RV show to further evaluate coach. We did and came up with another punch list which was fixed immediately. We found a small nick in the windshield and asked them to have it repaired. They wouldn't repair the windshield but replaced both. I highly recommend a little more time in Stuart. I haven't ingested any cool aide (Imre) but after being a CEO of a $600 million company I can say these guys are good.

Steve
