For what it is worth.

About the only viable alternative for a commercial chassis to Prevost is the MCI. They are trying to promote the E4500 class of coach as a conversion to our familiar suspects. Of course, they have tried this before, in and out of the marketplace, and most new coach buyers want a Prevost.

Last spring, MCI was saying that they would have a triple slide E4500 flat floor triple slide available for less than a comparable Prevost, with a 750,000 mile chassis warranty. The slides are Valid slides, the ones that Marathon uses on retro-slide conversions.

So far, it does not appear that any converters have made any kind of commitments to MCI unless a new coach buyer specifies an MCI.

I've run into some MCI owners and they claim that the MCI rides better than a Prevost. These were Bruce conversion owners (no longer in business). Can't verify that one way or another.

So, if someone were determined to have a proven commercial chassis, CAT powered, triple slide, flat floor, and didn't want to go the Prevost route, there doesn't seem to be a viable alternative than the MCI.

So there you go, for what it's worth.
