Howdy all.

Deb and I are considering a 2-3 day trip to Louisville. Where to camp? We'll consider a casino, if there is one. Or a nice campground not at a casino.

We'll do some looking on our own, but figured best to start with our POG buddies.

Eric, we have stayed at the Kentucky Horse Park, but in their Hotel, very nice. The entire facility was first class.

They do have an RV park. I can not vouch for it as we were there about 5 years ago without the bus.

Thanks for input from all except Paul Horner and Truk. I'm guessing, Paul, that they won't let us stay in a tank in Fort Knox, and the specific kind of tank Paul stayed in (Truk), won't help me a bit. All other responders, thank you. I still like you though, Paul and Truk, and I think you're both humorous.

Looks like KY Horsepark is in Lexington, not Louisville, unless I"m missing something. I'll keep doing some research on my own. Plus I know there will be a Walmart in Louisville, in case I want to dry camp.

Sorry, Eric, it was the first thing that popped into my head and it just came out. Didn't mean to divert your thread :(

Hope you have a good trip and find a new Waffle House to visit on the way. Now, when we travel, we always try to find a new one to have breakfast in and remember the good times we've shared with you there. :)

Truk, it was an M60 in 1970...... I can almost remember that far back :p

Harry ... thanks for that link. Woodall's has really improved their site. I guess it's been a while since I've been there. We've been dragging out their big book for the last two years when we need their help. It's probably time to retire that thing.

Paul, no issue. Was just trying to be funny with you and Truk. I think many threads get diverted this way and it makes them interesting.

Paul,

I think it would be prudent for you and I to buy that cheap Beemer Dude a 2009 addition of Woodalls so Deb and Jay wouldn't have to be worried about where they're going to spend the night!:D The poor things hardly ever get to see anything at night except the big blue WALMART sign.:p

The shame of it all.....
