We are having a warm spell here in Florida with ambient air temperature this afternoon around 95. The Weather Channel was indicating a heat index of 104 for our area.

I was working outside on a project and noticed just how hot the stainless was on the shaded side of the bus, so I decided to check it out.

Using my trusty Craftsman Infrared thermometer, the "skin" temperature on the shady side of the bus was 121 degrees. That got my attention so I checked the sunny side of the bus and recorded a "skin" temperature of 160 degrees !!!

Those trusty Cruiseairs (3 of 'em) were maintaining the interior of the bus at 75. Measuring the air temperature immediately at the discharge points of the Cruiseairs ranged from 59 to 62 degrees. It amazes me how well they can work in fairly serious hot weather.

The heat I can handle, the real scary part will be paying the utility bill next month!
