2003 Jeep Liberty Limited Edition

My neighbor, none bus guy, wants to sell his 03 Liberty. It has Blue Ox Base Plates and he may have towed it 5 or 6 times. It will need tires soon and there is a small worn spot on the side of the drivers seat about the size of a quarter. Non smoker, one owner and he wants $8,900.00. According to Kelley Blue Book (kbb.com), the stated asking price for this vehicle seems very reasonable - especially since it is already equipped for towing with the Blue Ox base plates. Kelley Blue Book values this vehicle at the stated mileage and in Good condition at $9,370 ($9,970 for Excellent condition) for a private party sale. And that doesn't take the added value of the Blue Ox base plate into consideration.

From the pictures and Truk's description I think that this Jeep easily falls somewhere between Good and Excellent condition. Sounds like this might be a good deal for someone needing/wanting a new tow vehicle?

Thanks Michael, if I didn't already have a Liberty, I would have jumped on it. I know the car from the day it was new and it would make someone a good one.
