Looking for a part.
Broke off the door handle of the Indesit washer / dryer combo. The model is a NBR 5000.
The washer / dryer is 18 yrs. old and I can't find a new handle. These washer / dryer combos where very popular in the late 80's early 90's Liberty's. The Indesit, (whirlpool in North America) is common brand in the UK. There's lots of handles from newer models but the locking component of the handle is the toughest to find or even to fabricate.
I thought if anyone out there has replaced their old indesit and still have it laying around, I would make it worth your while.$$

Darrell and Linda,
Friends have ordered parts from this place for outdated appliances for their coach. Might give them a try. www.repairclinic.com

Thanks Jim, I'll contact them. They don't list Indesit but they may be able to help out.
I would hate to have to purchase a whole washer / dryer.

Darrell and Linda-
Found you a brand new unit for under $300. If anyone needs anything from Craigslist, just email me. Even if it's not bus related. I have a software that allows me to search nationwide in seconds to track things down.

Your profile says your in Alberta. I already did the math for you. Your about 4,000 mile (round trip) to Boston to pick it up. At 7 miles a gallon and 2 bucks a gallon you'll burn around $1,000 - $1,200 in fuel. So you can look at it as a free trip (fuel wise) to get a new unit that is worth around $1,000 or so their ad says.
Wait I found another one in Toronto:

Ha, that's you asking for the part. Hey, if your in Toronto, then your only 550 miles each way.
I'd like that unit myself if I was closer to get it. We have a full size stackable in the Royal but the Angola I still have has a Splendid which is the combo unit and I'd rather have that extra storage space than the full size but since the bus was built around what I have I'll just leave it.

Thanks guys, but most of these links are for newer models. Had no luck with the repair clinic. I'll keep looking. Maybe I have to purchase a whole door to get a handle? That sucks ....... I contacted Indesit in the UK, and just waiting for a reply.
At least I'm not the only one with a broken door......

If your planning any travels East towards Boston, maybe the person will take a deposit and has the space to hold it for you. $300 for a like new unit sounds pretty good. Bet it works better than the 18 year old one.

Yeah, were leaving for Niagara Falls on June 8. Arriving in Niagara on the 12th. Couple day stay, then on to Ottawa and we'll then head to Quebec City.
I just may contact this fella, Thanks Jeff.
