View Full Version : Pricing
Hello Everyone,
I am new to POG and I must say I have enjoyed it very much.
I am looking at a 2005 Millennium double slide. Two questions,
1)What can you tell me about the company and...
2)What would be a reasonable price range?
Thanks so much!

Welcome to POG. Is this coach listed on a specific website? That would probably help make better determination.

g17,
Glad you came on board! looking forward to seeing how your coach buying turns out. It's one of the best parts of ownership.

Welcome. I have met the owners and toured their Conversions. Both very nice.

This does not answer your question, but it is accurate.
The bus is worth whatever you are willing to pay.
You can search the internet and find every single 2 slide 2005 conversion and their prices. From that you will get a sense of what the selling market thinks they are worth. What will not be revealed is what the buyers think they are worth because unless every sale of 2005 2 slide coaches is accurately revealed you can only guess.
The key is what you are willing to pay to get the coach you want. There are some coaches that I would pay a premium to get because they match up with what we would want in a coach perfectly. There are others of the same vintage I wouldn't consider, much less buy if they were the cheapest coach on the planet because the coach is not what we want.
Don't look at this as an investment, don't expect what you pay to be what you are going to get in a resale, and don't ever forget these coaches depreciate. Buying a coach is not a rational thing. But there is nothing that comes close to the owning of a Prevost conversion. The best part is the friends you will meet and the enjoyment you will get from one.

Find the bus you want and negotiate the best price you can get. Then negotiate for a better price. The only money you will ever save on the bus is on the purchase price!

g17,
Welcome to POG. Your specific question targets initial capital outlay. There is another cost that should be considered too. That is the ongoing annual costs of maintenance. You can't just take your Prevost down to the local Chevy dealer (if you still have one of them in your area) and get an oil change. These machines require special treatment in getting the required maintenance work. There are other post, on POG that expose some of these maintenance costs, unless you are going to DIY (and you will need lots of new tools for that) you should explore what these costs may mean to you.
Millennium is one of POG's sponsors and I have heard nothing but positives regarding their coaches. I have not seen one in person - maybe soon.

g17,
Evelyn and Nelson Figueroa of Millennium (http://www.millenniumluxurycoaches.com/) make great coaches and as Will pointed out are POG sponsors and have supported the group since our first rally in Polk City.
If it happens to be this coach (http://www.prevost-stuff.com/2005_prevost_millennium_45_doublFloridaLux.htm), Lon and Donnie at Florida Luxury Coach (http://www.floridaluxurycoach.com/) sell
quite a few coaches and price them competitively. They are also POG sponsors and like the Figueroas, are responsive communicators.
Good luck!
Thank you all very much for your input. Your response has confirmed what I have found in my research.
I have been working with some very good people on this coach and have been very impressed with the straight forward professionalism.
Look forward to a long relationship with all.

nudge nudge, our 2005 Millennium is for sale as well:D You know Bob, everything he has is for sale--well maybe not me or the dogs but definitely the horses! I wish everyone could have been at POG I-- it was a great experience and only 12 coaches if memory serves?
