Hey POGgers,

I have mentioned many times here that Janet and I love air circulation/ventilation in our rig. We often times leave the front door open while camping. Of course flies and skeeters love open doors too. I saw a bus at ORI last March that had a screen door that looked pretty easy to duplicate. So I did, and here's how. I bought some visquene (sp?)(clear plastic on a roll) at a crafts store. Took careful measurements of our front door opening, laid out the pattern on the visquene and cut it out with a box cutter and a long straight edge. I ordered a fabric called textilene from our cushion guy. You need 3 yards of fabric. Some years ago textilene was the rage for patio umbrellas and cushions. Acrylic canvas is now the rage, and the color selection for textilene is somewhat limited. But, blue is still available so I was good to go. I transferred the pattern to the textilene and cut it out with the box knife and straight edge too, no problem. I then took it to an auto upholsterer friend of mine and had him bind the edges. We added velcro straps to fasten around the door hinges. The top is held in place by 4 snaps. I put 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. of shot in the bottom to help hold it in a breeze. This thing works great!! You can leave it up while underway also. It rolls up for storage and I plan on getting a piece of 4" PVC pipe to put it in while storing in bay 1.

I have a couple of photos but for some reason my browser will not open Skiffs server right now. I will e-mail the pix to Skiff and ask him to post.

Ken, here they are. Thank you for sharing. (They were a little too tall.)
