I was under my coach this weekend and noticed the gererator muffler exit pipe is really close to some body insulation (area cooked). I am sure this has been a slow process over the last 17 years. The muffler on my Beaver is a large 24" long by 10" diameter steel tank with pipe fitting on each end located in the space between the drive axle and bulkhead of the last bay. A lot of the pipe is actually 2" water pipe. In the late 80's and early 90"s Beaver and Counry Coach were using each others ideas, so wonder if any early CC owner should check out this area on their coaches for signs of heat damage.
