Just wondering what different temps other people are running on their bus. I'am @ 198-203 and going up hard grades like the Grapevine in Calif. it gets to about 212-215 trans runs 198 and will get to 202. That was this past week with outside temp around 85-90 Thanks

Sid,
That's about what mine runs, but to be fair we need to compare what the weights and engines are. I have an 00 chassis with DDEC IV, I towed a 6000LB toad last year and that was the average temps.

Normal. Engine and trans and rear-end OIL temps too, will all mirror the engine water temp under normal conditions and it is also common for them to get up at 240 or so under an extreme long hard pull.

Next time your running in the heat of the summer and hit a good rainstorm watch those trans and rear-end temps they will drop like a rock down to 100 in minutes.

I believe speed has an influence on tranny temps. If I run under 72 my tranny temp stays under 208 mostly about 204, go up to 75 mph temp wlll increase from 210 to 214. I weight 50,200 plus a mini Cooper in tow.

To fairly compare temps, weight, tow, and speed should all go into the picture.
