View Full Version : Senior Member? Senior Momments?

Ok, since this is just my third post after signing up today, I assume that my "Senior Member" status is not related to how prolific I am nor my longevity in the POG fold. So what is it, then? A reference to my age? That's cold! As far as I know, only AARP considers me a "senior" and they have also been trying to recruit my 11 year old. Sheesh...

I do not know why we are senior members right away, but I do like your picture, well done. Welcome to the group!

Just go with it. Act like you know what you are talking about. Everyone else here does. If anyone gives you lip, remind them you have senior status. If they out you on what you post, claim it's wrong because you are a senior and you really do know the right answer, just having a senior moment.
I used to have a line in my signature that read "If you can fix it, feature it." It applies to this.
I used to have the line in there until grumpy Lew started grumbling about it. You have to give in to him. I think his status is senior senior ancient relic member.:D

Jeff Raymond set it up so members would become senior right away because someone was whining about having a lesser status.
Hell, we're all seniors except for Eric and Deb and they are getting there.

Bryan,
Are you going to be able to make it to the Okie City rally? We really need to keep a good showing of the 8V's.
It seems like it's easy for the 60S guys to get a little snubby. :)

Hey, I don't think there is a soul that didn't wish their series 60 had that sweet sound.
And I don't think there is a 8V92 driver that doesn't wish for 7.5 MPG towing a fat toad, uphill, against the wind.

See.... here we go again! 5-6 mpg plus a bit of oil on the floor, what's the big deal! :)

I just know the 8V92 drivers are going to be having a field day when I have to take all my bedroom cabinetry apart just so I can get the engine cover out so I can get the valve cover off the engine.
On the 8V92 that is a piece of cake without taking anything iin the conversion apart.

See! Count them. 5 related posts and then the senior members have a thread Alzheimer’s episode and go wandering off. :p
Don't worry, you will get used to it. Just make sure that you figure out the search function ----- cause your going to need it.

Well...as a newbie who just hit 45....do I need to sit at the kids table when I'm here?

Okay Jim, I'll bite...how many. By the way, I thought A-1 was the only one who checked the forum during the midnight pee run. JDUB occasionally logs on in the wee hours but only when playing in the sand. :D

Brian, I'm really going to be surprised if Jim can remember "how many"!

It is possible that you may have to sit with the kids, depends on how you answer the next question:
How many times at night do you wake have to go to the bathroom?:p

Get up at night? Whatever for? Only if my 1 year old wakes up and needs a bottle....

Brian I was getting up for the day, so that P run doesn't count as the middle of the night. :p
Senior moment quantity, I don't know just wondered if there was a limit:D
Can't be sure when the last one was, but probably yesterday.

Jim, why are you worried about a limit when you just told us that you can't remember the count from yesterday? Did you just help your self to another one?:D

I guess it would be an automatic qualifier for the kid's table if you went without waking?
Oh yeah!!!! And Jon: I don't care how many senior moments you have. After that necked flying confession, you are never sitting with the kids, anywhere.:p

If this is your walker, you automatically sit at the kids table.

Like you, I am quite new to POG. Not much else, but POG and bus ownership. These people are are quite entertaining and very knowledgeable. Lots of help is proffered and all they ask is that you meet them some day. Gosh. Like you, I have a 1990 CC conversion, 60115.
