Quartzsite

I would like some tips on staying at Quartzsite. I know it's dry camping but saw some where on this site about a coach getting stuck in the sand:eek: This will be our first time over there and just thought it would be fun to see the swap meet but don't feel like digging out of the sand. If you have a few tip's on where to stay I would appreciate it. Thanks

There are several RV Parks in town if you don't want to stay out in the Desert. Ken Z. is the person to PM about Dry Camping, but the dirt roads are fine just as long as you don't go off roading.

The stuck 2002 Marathon XLII was ours. Missed the weed I was supposed to turn at in the dark and sank. The next mornings' light shed an easy way to get out. No big deal.
We were two miles south of town on highway 93 on the west side of the road, on BLM land, tha had an official ranger's entrance gate to pay, and wandered in.
