Question about Smart Fuses?

Has anyone had any experience with Smart Fuses? It seems to me that blade fuses that light up when they fail might be an advantage if something goes out on a dark night. Any thoughts?

Why not change your blade type fuses to plug type, blade compatible circuit breakers. They won't fix whatever is causing the fuse to trip but will reset so perhaps you can fix the problem during the daylight hours.

Could you provide more info (like a link) about these type fuses. Being new to this, I've never heard of those but am interetsed.

I cannot state what other converters have, but both my Liberty's have had a type of DC voltage circuit breaker that fit into the conventional spring clip fuse holder on most of the house low voltage circuits.

They would replace the 1 1/4 glass tube type fuse with the silver metal ends.

I have no opinion how well they work because I cannot recall ever having a problem on a house circuit that tripped a fuse or one of these circuit breakers. While I never thought about this issue until the topic was raised, I think I would rather have a fuse that requires replacement, or a circuit breaker that requires resetting. I can envision a self resetting circuit breaker that keeps resetting itself until a fire starts.
