Look What The Bus Pulled Home

We owned an Airstream trailer years ago and I always regreted selling it. When we saw this one for sale at a great price, I just hooked her up and dragged it home. Yea, we were a little over 65 ft. but had no problems and I hardly knew it was back there.

Great guest house.

We pulled a toy hauler on a business trip. I borrowed it from a neighbor and hauled it from Florida to Texas and then to New York and hired a driver for about two weeks of that before he flew home from New York and we eased back to Florida ourselves but it was a great "guest house" for the driver when we stopped to rest. I'm keeping my eye out for a short bumber pull camper to keep around and take again when we want to go on trips with friends that have kids and stuff. Works great.

Jim, we had been on the lookout for another Airstream for the family to use when we all go bird hunting. This trailer is in remarkable condition for it's age and has all the original interior intact. The built in 8 track still works. Needs a bit of restoration and a full body polishing after the clear coat is stripped, but it has "good bones" as the Airstream folks say. The unit had been stored under cover it's entire life and has no body damage. Also has the cool Alcoa aluminum wheels that were a nice upgrade for these trailers.
OK, the truth is, it's just another toy.

When I first saw the photo all I could think was that it looked remarkably similar to a mother whale and her calf, the dry land version of course.

My "knothead kids" are always complaining of space, if I could figure out the toad thing this would be great; weird looking but great. I am glad to see that you still have a desire to find the next toy.

Where did you get the Smart Car, Mike. I ordered one 18 months ago and they are saying March or April of 09. The new ones are ok to pull 4 down the dealer is saying.

A guy here in ORA at PSL had one in 30days of when he ordered it. I was on his pad when he did so. I'm sure it helps to know someone close to Pensky. He has since sold it so will show up here sans Smartcar.
