Replacement Mud Flaps etal

Have any of you found a good supplier with a good web site to provide many of the miscellaneous parts that we need from time to time. I am needing to replace mud flaps, some damaged valve stems, and other small items. References appreciated.

Tony........Should you go to Prevost, be aware they sell one length for passenger busses and a longer length for motorhome bussed. You can buy the rubber from Texas Rubber Supply (dallas,tx) and make your own using the ones from your bus for a pattern. Tell the man at Texas Rubber that you need low grade belt material to make mud flaps or you may have a rubber suppy store in your city..........Darrell

I went to NAPA and bought a couple of truck mud flaps and then cut them with a utility knife to fit using the old flap as a template.

Tony I just found a place for the Alcoha Valve Stem Extensions Stabilizers, and the valve stems we use on our bus.

I tried several times to get them at a tire store with no luck, but finally found this place. PERFECT. I ordered two extra rubber stabilizers and two kits with 8" Valve Extensions too.

I would personally recommend against the extensions. Although things would certainly be better with the stabilizers, we've still heard of extensions breaking valve stems, causing problems.

A long straight air filler and air gauge make it easy to handle with the short straight stems on your inner duals.

I know you are right Ray, and that is what I am doing now, with at least the drivers side inner dual, but if you have good valve extensions, and good stabilizers, I am hoping things will work out ok? :o

That is also the reason I bought extra everything.

Please be cautious with the extenders and stabilizers. Reason I mention it is this. When I picked up my previous bus (the one involved in the fire), it had extenders and stabilizers on the duals. Everything looked fine when I left Dallas, stabilizers in place etc.

By the time I got to CA, the rubber stabilizer had worked it's way out of the wheel rim, and was placing an even bigger load on the the extension (worse than just the extension alone).

Personally, I am very leary of the extensions. Of course, your mileage may vary. :rolleyes:
