Will someone please help Ed and I with posting a few pictures on the forum?

We check reply to quote and then went to manage files and from there we are lost.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I know Ed can't wait to show his new shield to everyone;)

Thanks, Sandy

To reply to a post with a photo attached.

-Click on post reply, and then type in message.
-Before hitting post message, scroll down until you see manage attachments.
-Click on manage attachments, and when the new window opens, click on Browse.
-Open the folder that your photos for posting are in and double on the one you want to include in your
post.
-Click on Upload.
-Close this window, unless you want to add another photo, maximum of five are allowed.
-Click on Submit Reply.

Noted: If you try to upload a photo that is to large, i.e. right from a digital camera, you will get an error
message. You will need photos that are sized for the web. You can shoot photos for the web with some
cameras.

Thank you Dale. I do get the error when uploading. We don't have a problem sending pictures to our friends with an e-mail over AOL or other e-mail servers. I guess the pics we have won't get shared that is on our camera already. I told Ed that I guess we have to set the camera to a different setting of size. Thank you for your response. By the way, still trying to get our generator fixed. The person is supposed to go up to Georgia to the bus and fix it. I hope it is soon/ Trip planned for Memorial Day weekend. Happy Mothers' Day, Jan. Sandy:)

You or anyone can send me photos and I can resize them for you and send them back to you.

Sandy this is how I resize.

First left click manage attachments in the additional options box below the reply to thread box then when the window comes up select correct file and left click browse.

Then when you select a specific picture RIGHT click on it and then when the next window comes up left click EDIT. Then left click RESIZE and then enter 600 by 400 in the size selection boxes and then left click on O/K.

Finally left click the X next to the resize and then left click the red X at the far top right and a window will come up and ask you if you want to save the changes and click yes.

That should get you back to the attatchment window. Now Left click on that picture and then Left click open then Left click upload and after a few seconds it should grab it and at that point close that window.

To add it to your thread first make sure the cursor is where you want the picture then Left click the paper clip and then left click the number that appears below it and wala you should have it.

Good Luck.

Joe,

Doesn't that make the file size permanent?

If you would like the original file for printing you should save a copy of the photo in another folder e.g. POG PIXS, For Web PAGES. Then you should access this folder when posting photos in the forum.

Hi Sandy,

Here's a website that will do the resizing work for you and send it back.

Just browse for your photo on the your computer and then select the option for pix size max. of 600 pixels.

Good luck.
