My gps map software says 1049 miles and 17 hours. We have around 200 miles of two lane to get to Interstate.

AAA says it is 510 miles and 7 hrs 45 min from Pensacola, but I don't think they are talking about driving a bus ast 62 MPH.

We're looking at 756 mile and about 12 hours. If I stop every time Jan sees an antique shop, I'll see you all mid week.
Actually planing to roll in Sunday night.

I don't think traffic will be bad, but as we approach the warmer weather traffic builds to the point where the last few miles down route 66 through Sevierville is an hour long ordeal.
I think our timing is OK. For the few miles from Gatlinburg to I 40 in the summer, especially if there is a car show in Pigeon Forge, the drive time often exceeds three hours.
For anybody coming from the south or west and planning on taking I 40 east to exit 407, route 66 by pass Knoxville and take I 640 around town. The TN DOT is preparing or will be shutting down I 40 in the downtown area. There will be signs.

Mango Mike,
You probably won't need any aluminum for or gaffers tape this time. Truk will have to take all the heat.

I am really sorry to miss it. Especially since I'm going to be unable to make Spearfish due to a prior committment.
You gonna make it out to Disneyland again this year? I can taste the Tulsa Rib Co ribs, already. :D
Ray
ps: Shoot, don't you need a plastic shield to protect against tornadoes, or hurricanes coming that way? I was listening to the weather this morning, and a bunch of the country is still snowing! Sheez already ....

2576 miles one way for us. That is just a little bit too far, even if it is to meet with all of you very nice people.
Now Brian Esler only has 2575.5 miles one way, and that certainly is within the range of reason, and so he will be there.
You'all have a great time.

We are actually scheduled for Fort Wilderness and Disney World the last week of May. I'll cook the ribs if you can get all the Left Coasters to come for dinner.....

We are currently at the Sanlan Ranch Campground in Lakeland, FL. To date we have meandered over 4188 miles with about 67 hours driving time at 62.5 mph. We have been on the road for 51 days. A memorable trip away from the rainy Northwest. Will arrive at Sevierville with about 4900 miles on Saturday. :)

Jim, I am afraid to stop in Franklin on the way over because we haven't been there since October. I know I would find things that need attention perhaps repair and I would get involved and not make it to Sevierville. So I'm not even going to stop. I will have to buy, rent or borrow one.
P.S. Thanks for looking out for me, I need alll the help I can get ! See you in a couple of days.

Well my drive time is way down now. Made it to Nashville this morning and the weather is great. Sunny and cool. Should roll into Sevierville tomorrow afternoon. Nice drive from Houston so far and a great BBQ dinner at Corky's in Memphis last night.
Loc also turned us on to a BBQ place in Cathage, TX, Daddy Sam's, that worked for a 35 minute pit stop lunch.
Not many parking spaces in the rest areas in Tennessee. Ended up spending the night in the parking area for the weigh station with all the other guys who were having the same problem.
Taco time now..........
