Yesterday, I replaced all the rope lights embedded in the window treatment of my coach. Also, I replaced the lights in the entry door steps. This is not a big deal. It just took a little time. I ordered the rope lights from Country Coach.
For your information, my lights that were in the entry steps are what I have heard called 'Trevoli' lights. The light string is encased in a hard plastic tube and sealed on both ends. The OD of the clear plastic tube is .375". Since CC sent me only flexible rope lights, I took the trevoli light tube apart and reinserted new rope light internals (wires with soldered mini lights.). I sealed each end with clear RTV. They look good and work fine.
My rope lights were looking shabby with 25% of the existing bulbs out. Now the main salon look great.
An easy project. Sorry, no pictures.
