The park owner and the park manager are both motorcycle guys and have indicated they will be happy to lead a ride down the tail of the dragon.
That particular road is a must-do for riders.

A general rule of thumb.....Where we go, so goes our bike!

A general rule of thumb.....Where we go, so goes our bike! Aaah, that indeed is the story of The Tail...this is one mighty tricky piece of road. Last reports are that so many rice rockets go off the pavement that they are no longer providing local support facilities. You're on your own. It takes on a new meaning to 'Enter at your own risk.' Should this be also posted on the lawyer thread?

If I had any balls I would tag along in the Chevy coupe, but I don't so I won't. I'd rather stay with the sane people that don't ride bikes.

Peg and I rode our Harleys on the Dragon, over 15 years ago. Don't remember much, cause it was pouring down rain the entire time, and it was all we could do, to stay on the road. But what an experience. I believe I still have the T-Shirt. :)
" For those who don't know, the Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap in Tennessee is one of, if not the greatest, driving roads in the world. Containing 318 curves in an 11-mile stretch, the Tail is visited by both car enthusiasts and motor cyclists from all over the globe. While it brings a healthy amount of tourist dollars to the region, the curvy two-lane road that runs on US-129 has effectively been shut down by an overbearing Tennessee Highway Patrol."
We will just be happy if we can attend the rally.

We have read of the deaths on the tail of the dragon and recently there were three in two days.
Nobody has shut the road down, but there is strong enforcement of the speed limits. Apparently the cops are needed because the riders were killing or injuring themselves in such numbers the gendarmes decided if the riders couldn't control themselves, they would have to do it for them.
