There was some discussion recently about Prevost getting $139MM for new developments, some from Quebec, and some from Volvo I think it was.
While driving along post LeftCoast POG at ORA Temecula I happened upon this Volvo bus, that has a great deal in common with the Prevost H3 series, at least that is what it looked like to me.
It is labeled Volvo, most certainly has a Volvo engine, and maybe the money will be spent tooling up to build this vehicle in the future at Quebec?
I am pretty sure the Volvo owners of Prevost want to use Volvo engines. Similar to Daimler buying up Detroit Diesel and essentially closing down the new engine production to sell Mercedes Benz engines instead.
Take note of the really cool mirrors and the man size roof air unit. Fuel filler near front wheel so the fuel tank must be up front. Very aerodynamic front end with a huge one piece windshield ( which had a HUGE crack all across it on this one). It was labeled Volvo 9 700 on the rear. I presume this one was built in Europe. Is this what we will be driving in a conversion in a few years?
