POG IV in Branson is shaping up nicely with a great group of folks attending. We have commitments for some educational seminars as well as some people who want to Karaoke! Some have already requested backgound music for their favorite tunes. In the spirit of Branson...who can blame them? For your personlized list of who is attending so far PM or email me.:D

Awright, now's the time to sign up for POG IV if you have yet to do so. Space is limited and the Head Guy, that would be Jim Skiff, needs to have some good counts happening here for planning purposes.

This forum is a helpful communications tool for members, but the best benefit of being a POG member is to get thee to a rally and spend a couple of days getting to know each other and put some faces and postings together. It's fun to have a Prevost and enjoy it; even more fun to hang out with others who are doing the same thing.

This is also the time to begin the final stages of coach prep for the rally. At the last several rallies it was noted a few attendees had not taken the time to polish their slack adjusters or change the air in their tires as specified in the Maintenance manual.

It is my understanding Skiffer will be inspecting the inside of the wheel holes, the rear of the bumpers and other areas often overlooked by Prevost Owners.

To the new members this is why some POG members acquire new coaches just prior to rallies even though they have prefectly good coaches. This way they get the dealers to do the high level of detailing required at all POG rallies. The winner of this rally's cleanest coach award gets one year's free use of JPJ's coach.

Oh Jon! Serious faux paux. You can't tell them these secrets, at least until they've learned the POG hand-shake!!! Jeesh!

There has been a serious breech in our security system anyway Ray.

Not only does everybody know the secret handshake (that's the one where everybody passes a crisp new $100 bill to me) but I understand the SDR codes are now on the internet.

I have inside information that the missing Mango Mothership hub cap was lost because he forgot to tighten the fasteners after polishing the inside of the hubcap, not checking the oil. The new standards for spit and polish will be very tough for single bus owners to meet.

The Taney County Shrine Club has bailed out on us for our Thursday Night Pig Roast. They called me today to let me know. So, we'll be hiring a caterer for the evening and I'm working on our sponsors to chip in for a little extra for us and a new charity.

I was with the secretive JPJ today at his compound in the woods of Maine. After I got through the first gate I was greeted by his "friendly" dobermans and three tree mounted cameras aimed at my 1986 Ford Windstar. It wasn't until he came out of his workshop in boots with his pants tucked in was I able to keep him updated about Branson.

The funny thing was, he's really excited about Karaoke. Go figure.

Jon,

That would be the hub cap from "Another Mother" and not the "MangoMothership".

Clearly my mistake. May I assume the nuther muther will be all spit and polish with the inside of the turbo inlet tube at somewhere around a 95 gloss?

Only if he can get someone from the "Church of Love" to come do it. I hear he now has two smokers to deal with and a monster Sweet 16 party to pull off, so we'll be lucky if he gets to Branson with an apple and a road map.

Since Jon is probably watching the 33rd re-run of Lawrence Welk at this hour prior to the warm milk and bath, it's safe to say that the SDR codes were changed some time ago. The secret handshake does in fact persist, but times have changed. Better add a bunch more zeros to the number and it usually goes to....ah, well, we'll talk about it at POG IV.

Speaking of which, if anyone is on the fence about going or now, go. It'll be lots of fun and much to learn.

All good stuff.

Ah huh, you lobster boys are stroking us, there are no dobermans, camera or gates and when was the last time any of us saw the J man in anything except black socks and sandals... As far as that goes, when was the last time anyone saw JPJ?

You gotta watch these guys, they spend a lot of time in the woods playing in sawdust...

You gotta admit that the bar for dress standards at POG rallies is, well, flexible?

Vegas Dog Man: Remember we'll have a west coast POG at Parumph in early May 08. Plan on being there we'll need your help.

So, am I the only one that finds this interesting. There was concern about holding the POG rally near a casino, as we might lose the interest of some of the guys.

SO, instead, we hold it in a town with at least two legal brothels! I believe the famed "Chicken Ranch" is in Pahrump.

Hey Ray, the Famed Chicken Ranch you speak of WAS actually in La Grange, Texas http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/CC/ysc1.html.

It is closed down now, since JDUB and Loc tied the knot with their lovely wives. Oh well, another fine establishement bites the dust, but I get your meaning. :D But I am pretty sure Peg would rather I play the nickel slots, than the other form of entertainment you spoke of ?:rolleyes:

( What did you say the address was, of the other place ? )

Ray: Don't be going high hat on us with your XL2. Were going to:
http://www.seibtdesertretreat.com/ in Pahrump, NV located 22 Milies from Vegas. It is a very high end RV resort out in the desert and will be great for early May. What's the problem about 2 legal brothels. We had to do something to attract JDUB & Mango. Besides for someone that spends his time in Holliwood with illegal brothels on every street corner and hotel your getting awful blue nosed. Just remember it's the So Cal POGGERS that have to choose a west coast site for 09. Jon wanted a spot where he could visit the Grand Canyon on his way to or from.

Maybe it WAS in La Grange, but now it (or it's namesake) is in Pahrump.
