In his continuing search for a 1995-2000 Prevost a friend of mine came upon a 2000 H3. Salesman said it has a 24 volt house system.
All you gurus: Is this correct?
Thanks,

That's a Mango and Coloradobus question. But why would house voltage matter out of curiosity?

Jim,
At some point Marathon went to a 24v house system. It is a little more efficient due to less amperage. The only down side is bulbs and some components are a little more expensive and harder to find. Not a big deal.

Jon:
Just checking the veracity of a salesman. My buddy asked me if that sounded right as he knew I had 24V house in mine.

Jim,
I have both 12v and 24v systems in the house.

Don't forget Jim that Liberty makes two coaches and one is essentially all 12 volt and the other is essentially all 24 volt.
If Mike's is a mix, the real question is does Marathon make two coaches like Liberty? If so, what are the differences?
Who would be cynical enough to want to verify what a salesman says?

Jim,
My 97 Marathon house was 24, but it also had 12 volt sources for any 12V needs. The house lights were 24, most of the dash lights and rocker switches were 24, but several warning lights on the dash were 12.
I'm sure Mango is referring to the same thing and the 2000 is probably the same. Bus might jump in here.

So KrakMan, isn't the new PlastiKrakster a 6 volt rig? Jeep said if you plugged it into 50 amp it would turn into one of those plastic traffic turtles you see glued to the highway. Any truth to that?
Jeep, your not funnin me again are you?
