Hey POGers,
This if for all you "do it yourselfers" out there. Many of you may know this already, but I think it is worth a post here.
I went out to service the generator in Bluevost today. I had a couple of things to put away inside the rig, and while in there I hit the Gen Start/Stop button on the overhead console, you know to warm up the oil, etc.. The generator ran for about 10 minutes and I shut with the "off" switch in the gen. compartment. About 15 seconds later, the generator started up again! BE ADVISED THAT THE "OFF" SWITCH IN THE GEN BOX DOES NOT ALWAYS NEUTRALIZE THE GEN START/STOP SWITCH IN THE OVERHEAD CONSOLE. In my case today, no harm no foul. Two fuel filters, one oil filter, and 8 qts of 30 wt. later, all is good.
Be careful,
Ken
