On my 99 with the series 60 the high idle goes to 1500 and will not go down when I turn the switch off. I have to turn the ignition switch off and let the engine shut down, restart to get back to a normal idle. Has anyone had these kind of problems?
Thanks,
Kevin

Hiya Kevin, conrats on the latest race.

I departed PVML one day, and my high idle was going completely nuts, would idle up all on its own, then back down or not at all.

If you open up the lower door under the driver's window down by where your aux air outlet is, you will see a gray plastic box with six or so screws in the top, it has a series of relays in it.

The solution to mine was to pull the relays and clean the contacts, tighten all connections (ground too) and replace.

All was cured.

Could be relay failure too, but that is where I would start.

Adding a little CorrosionX in that box might be a good thing!

Thanks for the help, I won't be back to the bus until the end of next week but I will take a look at the relays and this box that you describe. We did get a lot of rain over the weekend so I am sure there is moisture inside that area.
