Hello. I need to get my recently purchased 2001 Featherlite inspected in Texas (I bought it in Florida). I am in northwest Austin, and would prefer a place that is in this area and can more easily accommodate a 45 foot coach (getting in/out, etc). Just wondering if anyone here is in Austin and has some good places already picked out for this.

BTW, I checked with Frieghtliner of Austin (who works on Prevost), but they only do DOT inspections.

I would google inspection stations near you then look at the satellite view to see if you can park on the street adjacent to the business. They don’t check much and should be done in 15 min or less if no waiting. That’s what we do.

Going to see if my local NTB can inspect it. Assuming they don't have to bring it in the shop, perhaps they can do it. This is one of the few places I feel comfortable getting in/out.

Is there an OBDII port on 2000 H3-45 chassis?

On these buses Texas requires "Safety Only Inspection" which means no emissions testing.

I found a good place to get inspected in Austin area. If you are in this area, check out Chevron / Lindell Automotive on 2415 N Interstate 35 Frontage Rd. Park between the sidewalk and the gas pumps up front (leaving space for other cars to use the pumps). There is enough space to pull in/out.
