what year did prevost increase the gross weight on a XLII from 50500 LBS?jack

I believe the model year for converters of the XL2 is 2005, the Prevost shell would start at 2004. You can tell with the size of the front tires and /or tag tires. (pre change 315/80r x 22.5 new size 365/70r x 22.5).

The increase of GVWR (about 1k lbs front axle) came with the new size tires, front and tag rims, and a modification of the front air bags to allow for the wider tires. No decrease in the turning radius.:)

thanks,i thought that it was 2005 conversions/2004 shells,does anyone know what year detroit diesel started installing the egr engines?jack

My 2003 Conversion /2002 chasis has the 365/70r x 22.5.
